Collaboration with fashion label Lou de Bètoly: Featuring knitted porcelain objects, including plates, bowls, and candle holders
Designer Lou de Bètoly and Bachner Vessels joined together to produce Baroque Fragments, a series of experimental vessels. Crocheted and knitted textile pieces that are repeatedly dipped in liquid porcelain, carefully draped, glazed, and then fired at 1240°C. During the firing process, the yarn fibres burn away, leaving behind delicate porcelain forms. Lou de Bètoly adorns these vessels with crystals and glass bead embroidery, adding intricate details and connecting the forms with additional yarn and lace crochet work.
